Rabbit Hole I University of Patras

The redesigned canteen embraces a colorful and playful approach, transforming into a dynamic common space for students to rest, socialize, and even study. More than just a cafeteria, it offers a welcoming escape—a place to take a break, regain energy, and connect.
The concept, "Rabbit Hole," symbolizes a space that draws you in, an oasis within the campus where time slows down. The color blocking on the walls merges seamlessly with bold murals by artist Soteur, who brought the story of the Rabbit Hole to life through vibrant graffiti. His creative process evolved into an open workshop, inviting students to co-create and make the space truly their own. This collaborative art experience allows each student to leave their mark, enhancing their sense of ownership and engagement within the space.
Spatially, the canteen is organized into zones: the espresso bar, open market, and study room are grouped on one side, while the rest of the space remains open, fostering interaction and relaxation.
